General Principle

Article 1To further develop international education in Jiangsu College of Safety Technology and encourage international students to study hard, the appraisal method of the scholarship for outstanding international students are formulated in accordance with the relevant provisions of Scholarship Evaluation Measures of Jiangsu College of Safety Technology.

Article 2 The candidates are registered full-time international students studying at Jiangsu College of Safety Technology.

Article 3 Types of Scholarship include Full Scholarship and Merit Scholarship

 Full Scholarship: All first-year international students are entitled to a full scholarship of RMB 6,800.

International students can participate in the evaluation of the scholarship according to the ranking of their academic performance in language and major courses. Merit Scholarship is divided into three grades: The First Grade Scholarship, The Second Grade Scholarship and The Third Grade Scholarship

Article 4 Eligibility

1.     Full Scholarship

Meet the enrollment conditions of the college and no violation of China’s laws and the University’s regulations.

2.Merit Scholarship

The First Grade Scholarship：Those international students ranked in the top 20% in total scores of each subject.

The Second Grade Scholarship：Those international students ranked in the top 30% in total scores of each subject.

The Third Grade Scholarship：Those international students ranked in the top 50% in total scores of each subject.

Article 5 Types and Value of Scholarship/ Percentage of Recipients

Article 6 Scholarship evaluation for international students shall be assessed, adjusted and managed by the International students Management Office in accordance with these Measures.

Article 7 Procedure

 1.Students submit a written application to their class for public evaluation and recommendation.

2.Counselors review the applicant materials and draw up the primary list.

3.International students Management Office will publicize the primary list for three working days. If you have any objection to the candidate, you can report to the International students Management Office. International students Management Office will form an investigation team to conduct the investigation, and the result of the investigation should be reported to the dissident within five working days.

4.After no objection is raised, the International students Management Office will submit it to the university for approval.

Article 8 The scholarship will be evaluated once every academic year (the scholarship will not be evaluated in the academic year after graduation) and will be granted by the finance department according to relevant requirements.

Article 9International students with any of the following situations will be excluded from the scholarship:

1.Suspension or retention of school status；

2.Those who have been given punishments above warning (including warning) and who have not been relieved from previous punishments due to violation of school rules, laws and regulations in the year of award judging (those who have been given punishments before the year of award judging and have already been relieved will be awarded, rewarded and other rights and interests, and will not be affected by the original punishments)；

3.Fail to pass HSK level 4；

4.Delay in tuition fees, accommodation fees and insurance premiums without good reasons；

5.Be punished by the public security organ during the year of award evaluation.

Article 10Recognition awards

Students who have won scholarships will be awarded certificates and bonuses according to their respective grades. Each student can apply for the scholarship only once in an academic year.
